Excellent quality, great-looking adjustable brake and clutch levers come in a variety of lengths and colors.
Adjustable levers should be standard on every motorcycle, period !
Let's face it: hands come in all sizes, from really small to really large. It just doesn't make sense to have a lever that can't be adjusted.
This isn't rocket science, either -- the few extra bucks that might add to the cost of a motorcycle for adding a pair of adjustable levers would be well worth it in the long run.
Don't tell that to the aftermarket, though -- there is a veritable underground of motorcycle levers manufacturers just waiting to sell you their wares at exorbitant prices.
However, aftermarket adjustable motorcycle levers are way beyond basic -- they've become a fashion accessory!
Benefits of Aftermarket Motorcycle Levers
For those that only use a couple of fingers to use the clutch and/or brake, they will find short levers more comfortable than stock ones.
The end fingers, particularly if wearing bulky gloves, can get trapped between the back of the lever and the throttle grip. With a short lever, this is not a problem. Long Levers are specially made for big hands.
The extra 5 adjustment range available is going to make it easier for the rider to set the levers up and get a better position for them.
Less Likely to Snap
This is going to be a more prominent benefit in short levers given the clearance they have to the end of the handlebar, but even the long aftermarket levers will fare better than stock.
In the case of the Foldable levers, it’s even better as they fold themselves in the case of any Side Nudge or a crash.
The design will play a part, allowing the lever to fold right back on itself to help stop it snapping, as will the material itself.
They Look Damn Good
Ok, I said this in the beginning, but in the right color aftermarket levers can really set off the front end of the bike, and the design itself simply has it looking more ‘HOT’ than it does with stock levers.
